Provide task dependencies, project schedule, Gantt chart capability
The core element of project tracking would be a simple version of a gantt chart where tasks or deliverables are named, given a begin and end data, dependancies and an assigned user. Would it be possible to partner with someone to provide this as an addin at the very least. This element is critical to people using Huddle as a basic project management environment

We recognise this requirement has been top of our list for a long time now! As many of the comments have noted, the key prerequisite is task dependencies – the implementation of which is planned. Once complete we can work on the visualisation of dependent tasks as a Gantt chart.

A slick integration of IM into Huddle would be a fantastic feature – watch this space for updates!

Task categories / tags / groups / folders
Huddle should allow users to create high level categories for their tasks, so that they can be sorted through based on the type of work.
The categories should be defined by the Huddle workspace managers/admins, in order to allow the teams they manage to easily categorize the tasks into the correct classifications.
As it stands right now, it is difficult to sort through the tasks at a high level. I need to be able to access and separate tasks from each other based on the type of work each tasks fall under.

Hi – We are interested to know if you are looking for tags – where a task could have multiple tags applied, or categories – a single selection from a fixed dropdown list.

Ok, now Huddle’s “reply by email” is live. We’ll begin thinking about Uploading files and tasks by email in the future. (http://www.huddle.com/blog/product-update-reply-by-email-improved-notifications/)

Ability to link to uploaded files (in Discussions/Whiteboards/Meetings)
Create a way of cross-referencing existing files in discussions or whiteboards or meetings. So when you are writing a new discussion there is an easy way to insert a tag to a file.

You can copy and paste the link to a file overview page into a discussion.
On top of this we’re also looking at how we could theoretically bring the same beautiful interface you see in the tasks page to discussions too.

Implement permissions for whiteboards/tasks/discussions
Id like to separate certain teams from certain discussions, IE Internal discussions vs. external discussions.
There are certain things that i only want my external customers to see, however i'd like to manage my internal team a little easier / better.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on this feature. We have added a story into the roadmap and will look to start planning it soon. As regards the automatic notifications, you can switch off all notifications via your personal profile. We are looking at enhancing our notification functionality later on in the year.

Allow to assign a user to several teams
Limiting each user to a single team can be a real drawback if you use a matrix management organisation. Some people work on several teams and need to access various folders and discussions.
This should be fairly easy to implement and would be a big plus for the product.

Hi, We’re looking at this one now – perhaps bringing teams outside workspaces. It’s not an easy one to implement because many other parts of the system rely on our current permissions model. Thanks!

We are currently reviewing this requirement specifically. Please comment and add votes if you have a specific use case for this implementation. Thanks!

Shared drive / network drive access to files folder
Files section is cool, but we still have to do the whole upload / download thing. If we could access the Files section as a shared drive like Jungle Disk that would be the killer app. Basically files section should be mounted on your desktop like a extra disk.

More information coming in the next couple of months on this one. Unlikely to be a mounted drive, but we think we have something even better.

Order / sort discussions by the last updated / name
Discussions are ordered by the last one created... which is very confusing. Discussions should be ordered by the time they were last updated. Also discussions that have changed since my last visit should be highlighted when I return to the discussions area so I know what I've missed!

Just needs to be prioritised – Please comment if this is particularly important to you.

Send a "daily digest" of changes
This would be helpful for announcements where people are not actively participating but still receive important information

Add the ability to accept or decline a meeting within Huddle so I know who will be attending.
I want my team members that don't have online calendars to be able to accept or decline a meeting from within the Huddle workspace. A link in the notification e-mail could take them to Huddle where they can sign in and accept or decline.

It’s unlikely that we will be bringing this functionality out in the next 12 months. However we welcome your feedback as to how this should be implemented.

Copy and Move entire folders including subfolders (directories)
If you want to reorganize or move/copy folders and its content, you are required to first create a new (sub)folders and then move/copy documents into it. It would be better/faster to copy/move a complete folder an its content in one go.

Add teams / members / people to multiple workspaces in one go
Currently you can only add people to one workspace at a time - if you have 50 workspaces this is not a good experience for a new user of Huddle.
They might miss an email and so not have visibility of an important workspace.

A quick question for subscribers: Should people have to accept invitations? Or should they just be “put” into a workspace and notified – with the opportunity to leave if they like?
Best regards,

Show logged in / present users
The green user icon in the Who's Online? tab is useless - it should show who is logged in now, not who has been logged in the last 24 hours

Quite right – this would be great but perhaps only becomes really useful when you throw instant messaging into the mix alongside it.
Huddle is designed to be fantastic for asynchronous collaboration: discussions, document management, tasks management – when synchronous collaboration features are added, users online becomes a need rather than just a nice to have.

Threaded discussions
I've seen some comments on here about the ordering of postings, etc. What I'd really like to see is threaded discussions. Sometimes people reply to a specific posting, and that takes on a whole new life or "thread" from the original topic. Having a threaded flow through the discussion REALLY makes the discussion section much more useful. Having a flat format like it is now is only partial useful, and most discussions stop fairly quickly as it becomes to hard to see who is replying to what.

Discussion reply via email
Similar to Basecamp: the ability to answer to a discussion post by simply replying to the notification email and adding text above a separation line.
This way you would creately improve the usage of the discussion feature. It is a lot faster and easier to answer an email than to login to huddle and post an separete answer.
Additionaly it would be great to use any comment (fo files, tasks etc.) to start a discussion. Again this would increase the usability and the usage of discussions.

Offline / Offline file sync tool for Huddle workspaces
For example I am new to a project and I have been suggested to find the document in Huddle. As I have limited internet connectivity it would be great to have a button at the parent level and say download copy to file. This download would include files and sudirectories with files in the correct subdirectories.

View workspaces as other users see it like in Facebook
It would be great as a Workspace Manager to quickly see how other Teams/Users view the Workspace folder structure so that you are sure only the 'right' people see parts of the workspace. We currently have to go into every folder to view permissions which is tedious.
You can do this in Facebook by setting up permissions and then viewing it as one of your friends would see it so anything confidential is kept that way.
